Obtaining a New Robot Cell

We have recently put a new robotic welding cell into operation, representing an important step in the ongoing modernization of our production processes. The robotic cell is equipped with a Yaskawa Motoman AR2010 robot and a YRC1000 robot controller, complemented by an FB-500 floor drive unit and two sequential workstations with WG-3000 rotary positioners and Fronius TPS500i welding equipment. This advanced automation solution allows us to achieve precise and repeatable welding results while further strengthening our technology-driven manufacturing approach.

With the introduction of the new robotic cell, we expect noticeable improvements in productivity, cost efficiency and overall product quality. Automated welding ensures greater consistency and added value of finished components, while also contributing to a reduced environmental footprint through more controlled and optimized processes. In addition, the new system improves workplace safety and employee health, and the investment has created new jobs at our production facility.

The acquisition of the robotic welding cell was co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development as part of the investment project “Development of metal industry KOVINC d.o.o.” under the first public tender for sub-measure 6.4 Support for investments in the establishment and development of non-agricultural activities. This support confirms the importance of investing in advanced technologies to ensure long-term competitiveness and sustainable industrial development.
