CNC Metal Turning

Precise. Fast. Reliable.

CNC Turning

At Kovinc d.o.o., we provide CNC metal turning services using modern technology that ensures a high level of precision, repeatability and process stability. Our machine park includes two high-performance CNC lathes – CTX 420 Linear and CLX 450 – which enable us to machine various types of rotationally symmetrical components. By combining robust machine construction, advanced software and professional expertise, we position ourselves as a reliable partner for series production.

With our modern turning centers, we cover a wide range of dimensions, complexity levels and materials – from structural steel and stainless steel to aluminum and other alloys. CNC turning within our production process is based on optimized and repeatable procedures for medium and large production runs, allowing us to achieve tight tolerances and high surface accuracy. We ensure consistent quality, agreed delivery times and reliable support for long-term projects.

Machinery: CNC Lathes

CNC turning is based on modern machining centres that enable flexible and efficient execution of series projects. The combination of the technical capabilities of both machines allows us to cover a wider range of dimensions, geometries and machining complexity.

How Does CNC Metal Turning Work

CNC turning is a process in which the workpiece is clamped in a chuck and rotates around its axis during machining. Based on the technical documentation, a CNC programme is prepared that defines the sequence of operations, cutting parameters and tool geometries. During the process, the tool moves in longitudinal and transverse directions and gradually forms the final shape of the product.

Depending on project requirements, the process includes rough and finish machining as well as the production of threads, grooves, tapers and other functional features. CNC turning enables the machining of components such as shafts, bushings, sleeves, axles and pins as well as other rotationally symmetrical parts for industrial applications. In series production, the focus is on cycle time optimisation and coordination of individual operations to ensure efficient production of larger quantities.

Quality Control In The Production Process

CNC metal turning is carried out with continuous verification of dimensions and compliance with technical documentation. Inspection includes measurement of key dimensions, tolerance verification and surface finish inspection according to project requirements. Control procedures are adapted to the type of component and the production volume.

In serial production, particular attention is given to consistent first article inspection and periodic checks throughout the production process. This ensures full compliance of the entire batch with technical specifications and reduces the risk of deviations in repeat orders.
